Aeroflot CEO Sergey Alexandrovsky has stated that replacing foreign engines with Russian ones on SSJ 100 aircraft is feasible only with state financial support. The estimated cost per aircraft is around 2 billion rubles. Without subsidies, Aeroflot predicts the withdrawal of SSJ 100 from Russian airlines' fleets. The company plans to redistribute flight hours and introduce new MC-21 aircraft to compensate for lost carrying capacity.
