White House Discourages U.S. Space Companies from Attending Macron's Summit

The White House has discouraged U.S. space companies from attending French President Emmanuel Macron’s September 9–10 space summit in Paris, warning that participation could be interpreted as support for EU policies the administration considers unfriendly to American industry. Companies including SpaceX, Stoke Space, K2 Space and Astra were told that attendance ultimately remained their decision. Officials from the White House science office, State Department, Commerce Department, and NASA are still expected to attend the summit.
