Afghan Envoy Calls for Stronger Pakistan-Afghanistan Ties

Afghan Ambassador Sardar Ahmad Shakib has called for stronger ties between Afghanistan and Pakistan, emphasizing the need for cooperation and mutual respect. Speaking at the National Defence University in Islamabad, Shakib highlighted the deep interdependence of the two countries and urged them to view their current realities through a lens of shared prosperity. He stressed that Afghanistan does not want its soil used against Pakistan but also cannot accept Pakistan's security concerns being used as a pretext for military action. Shakib also emphasized the right of independent nations to have relations with other countries without it being interpreted as a position against another.
