Turkey's indigenous supersonic jet trainer, Hürjet, has successfully completed its maiden flight. Designed to replace aging T-38s and F-5s, Hürjet can fly at Mach 1.4 at an altitude of 45,000 feet. Spain has ordered 30 units, marking Turkey's first jet trainer export to a NATO country. The first batch will be delivered to the Turkish Air Force by the end of 2027 and to Spain in 2028. Light attack and naval variants are also under development.
