NASA's Roman Space Telescope: A New Era of Cosmic Exploration

NASA is set to launch the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope on Sunday, May 30, 2026. The approximately US$4 billion observatory will survey more than two billion galaxies, helping scientists understand how cosmic structures formed and evolved over billions of years. Roman's main mission will involve investigating dark energy, dark matter, and distant worlds, complementing the work of Hubble and James Webb space telescopes. The telescope will also contribute to the search for exoplanets and test new technology capable of directly imaging some nearby exoplanets.
