Peru Declares Emergency in Fishing and Aquaculture Due to El Niño

The Government of Peru has declared a 120-day state of emergency for the fishing and aquaculture subsectors due to the imminent threat posed by the El Niño Phenomenon 2026-2027. The emergency plan includes scientific research, fisheries management, administrative facilitation, fine payment facilities, market promotion, and access to financing.
