Ukraine Considers Radical Changes to Conscription Age

Ukraine's Ministry of Defense is preparing changes to the conscription age and other 'radical measures' during mobilization, according to Secretary of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security Roman Kostenko. The details of these measures are not yet being disclosed, but discussions are already underway. Kostenko stated that the current financial bonuses for contractors are not effective, leading to the exploration of new methods to attract people to the army. He also emphasized that compulsory mobilization, deferments for parents with many children, and the voluntary nature of women's mobilization will remain unchanged.
