Qatar Brokers Roadmap for DRC Talks

Qatar has helped broker a roadmap for the next round of negotiations between the government of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Alliance Fleuve Congo/March 23 Movement (AFC/M23). The roadmap, emerged from talks in Switzerland, includes sequenced steps and timelines for negotiations under the Doha Framework Agreement. The parties welcomed continued progress on standing up the Expanded Joint Verification Mechanism Plus (EJVM+) and agreed on a standardized method for reporting ceasefire violations.
