Argentina's Debt Crisis: Governor Kicillof Announces Measures Against Virtual Wallets

The governor blamed the macroeconomic policies of President Javier Milei for the crisis, stating that 60% of adults are in debt and nearly 6 million people are in default. The Minister reported that the Consumer Protection Department received over 2,000 complaints against fintech companies this year and opened an investigation file. The Buenos Aires government plans to fine companies up to $1.883 million and reverse violations if proven.
