Morocco Thwarts Mass Migrant Crossings into Ceuta

Moroccan security forces successfully thwarted multiple attempts by hundreds of migrants, predominantly from sub-Saharan Africa, to illegally cross the border into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. The attempts were reportedly organized through social media calls for mass crossings. Moroccan authorities intercepted and detained migrants, using force in some instances, and deployed drones and additional personnel to reinforce security measures. The incidents follow a previous mass crossing of over 70,000 migrants into Ceuta in July.
