Morocco Thwarts Mass Migrant Crossings into Spain's Ceuta

Moroccan security forces successfully thwarted multiple attempts by hundreds of migrants, primarily from sub-Saharan African countries, to cross into Spain's Ceuta region. Law enforcement used tear gas and deployed helicopters, arresting over 100 illegal immigrants. Many migrants were found with tools like pickaxes and ropes to scale the border fence. The attempts followed social media calls for another mass entry, similar to the one in late July where thousands of migrants entered Ceuta.
