Burning Trucks Cause Motorway Closures and Delays

Two separate incidents involving burning trucks on German motorways have caused significant traffic disruptions and closures. On the A45 near Aßlar, a truck fire due to a tire defect led to a complete closure of several kilometers in both directions. The motorway remained closed for hours, causing substantial traffic jams. Another incident occurred on the A5 near Rastatt, where a truck loaded with tires caught fire, leading to the closure of the motorway towards Basel. Emergency services are working to extinguish the fires and clear the roads.
