AirBaltic Cuts Winter Flights: Nine Routes Closed, 16 Reduced

Latvia's national airline airBaltic is set to make significant changes to its winter schedule. The carrier will close nine routes, including those from Riga to Ljubljana and Malta, Tallinn to London Gatwick, and Vilnius to Berlin and Dubai. Additionally, flight frequency will be reduced on 16 other routes, such as Riga to Copenhagen, Stockholm, Frankfurt, and Tampere. The changes aim to optimize the route network based on seasonal demand and commercial considerations. The airline also expects additional funding of 100-150 million euros for winter 2026/2027 operations.
