The Moscow region has expanded its list of free high-tech medical services under the Obligatory Medical Insurance (OMS) policy. Starting from 2026, 15 new types of complex surgical interventions in oncology, cardiology, ophthalmology, and transplantation will be included in the program. This allows patients to receive specialized care without turning to private clinics. The decision was supported by the 'United Russia' faction in the State Duma. The region has seen improvements in early cancer detection and mortality rates. New services include free stomach reduction surgery for obesity in Chernogolovka and advanced vascular surgeries in Krasnogorsk. The region has also invested in medical infrastructure, with 60+ new facilities built and 57,000 doctors attracted.
