Scammers are luring users with the promise of free bonuses or money on gambling websites, leading them to download unknown software or log in with unfamiliar Apple IDs. This results in remote control of their phones, theft of personal information and assets, and even ransom demands. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has detected attacks targeting iOS versions 13.0 to 17.2.1. Apple warns users never to log in with someone else's Apple ID or reveal their password. Experts advise avoiding suspicious links and unknown apps.
