Scammer Tricks Woman into Setting Fire to Her Apartment

A 19-year-old woman from Odintsovo, Moscow region, received a call from scammers who claimed that fraudsters had gained access to her personal data and could take out a loan in her name, sending the money to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Believing their story, she picked up money and keys to an apartment in Reutov from another woman who had been similarly deceived. Upon entering the apartment, she found an additional 200,000 rubles, set fire to a mattress, and fled. The suspect was later detained and taken in for questioning.
