Chinese Businessman Kidnapped in Angeles City, Pampanga; 4 Suspects Arrested

Philippine police have arrested four suspects involved in the kidnapping of a 37-year-old Chinese businessman who was vacationing in Angeles City, Pampanga. Among the arrested are three Chinese nationals and one Filipino national. The victim was abducted on August 2 while at a business establishment along Friendship Road and forced into a white van. The motive behind the abduction was ransom, with the suspects demanding $100 million from the victim's family. However, the victim managed to escape before the ransom was paid. Four suspects have been arrested and charged with kidnapping for ransom and illegal detention. The police are still searching for the remaining two suspects and working with the Bureau of Immigration to verify the identities of the three Chinese suspects.
