China Warns Against Japanese Remilitarization on Hiroshima Anniversary

On the anniversary of the Hiroshima bombing, China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian cautioned against Japan's attempts to revise its non-nuclear principles and pursue nuclear sharing with the U.S., or even independent nuclear weapons. Lin criticized Japan's right-wing forces for distorting historical facts and exploiting its status as a nuclear bombing victim while downplaying its past aggression. He also warned against Japan's military buildup and called on it to respect history and fulfill its nuclear non-proliferation obligations.
