China Calls for International Support to Revive Afghanistan's Economy to Combat Terrorism

Sun Lee, acting representative of China at the United Nations, emphasized the importance of reviving Afghanistan's economy and improving the living conditions of its people to reduce instability and eliminate terrorist breeding grounds. He called on the international community, Central Asian countries, and regional organizations like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to strengthen cooperation with Afghanistan in addressing transnational security challenges. Sun Lee also urged current Afghan officials to fulfill their counterterrorism commitments and prevent the use of Afghan territory for terrorist activities.
