Russia to Launch Drone Delivery Pilot Project in Five Regions
The Ministry of Transport plans to select up to five regions in Russia for a pilot project on delivering cargo using drones. The project aims to transition from test flights to regular cargo delivery, with routes of varying lengths connecting warehouses, distribution centers, and pickup points. The first results of the region selection are expected to be presented in November, with the project scheduled to run until the end of 2027. Drones will transport food, medicine, parcels, and documents. Experience with such operations already exists in the Nizhny Novgorod region and Yakutia.16 sourcesSee all sources
