Young Chinese Migrant Workers Share Struggles in Southeast Asia
Three young Chinese men, born in 2002 and currently aged 24, share their experiences working in Southeast Asia. Raised by ordinary families with limited means, they left China with hopes of making a better life. Despite their efforts, they haven't amassed significant wealth. They struggle to answer questions about their work abroad, feeling they haven't achieved much. Their daily routine involves working at a computer, chasing sales targets, and hoping to close deals. However, their salaries often leave little after living expenses. At 24, they feel both young and confused, unable to date due to financial insecurity. They express a desire for companionship and a better future, but acknowledge that life is challenging and unpredictable.7 sourcesSee all sources
