Solar Eclipse, Meteor Shower, and Planetary Alignment in One Day
On August 12, a total or partial solar eclipse will occur, visible in parts of the world including Greenland, Iceland, northern Russia, and Spain. This will be accompanied by the Perseid meteor shower, with up to 100 meteors per hour visible to the naked eye, and a planetary alignment involving six planets: Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. The solar eclipse will be most visible in the evening, while the meteor shower will peak during the night.13 sourcesSee all sources
