Mexican Influencer Samuel Adrián Arrested in Colombia for Contempt of Court

Mexican content creator Samuel Adrián was arrested at Bogotá's El Dorado International Airport on Sunday, September 13, 2026, following an arrest warrant issued by a Cali court for contempt. The arrest stems from a contempt incident related to content published by Adrián on his YouTube channel, specifically his documentary 'Colombia: factory of transgender children'. The documentary addresses medical treatments and protocols linked to gender transition in children and adolescents in Colombia, sparking debates among political sectors, LGBTIQ+ rights organizations, health specialists, and critical groups. Adrián was taken to a police station within the airport while authorities advanced with the protocol for this type of judicial decisions. The National Police stated that the measure does not equate to an arrest for the alleged commission of a crime but rather an arrest order issued within a contempt process.

Two Dead in Venice Lagoon Accident: Police Hunt Speeding Water Taxis

A couple on their honeymoon died after their small motorboat was hit by a speeding water taxi in Venice's lagoon. The 25-year-old man died immediately, and his 26-year-old wife's body was found days later. The accident occurred before sunrise near Venice's airport and St. Mark's Square. Police suspect the water taxi, carrying passengers to the city center, was traveling at least 40 km/h. Authorities blame the increasing recklessness of water taxi drivers, driven by economic pressure to make more trips quickly, for the rising number of accidents in the lagoon. During the recent Venice Film Festival, police intensified controls but reported a diminishing deterrent effect. Stricter rules and consistent punishment are now being considered.
