    Abortion Access Movement Expands Amidst Threats

    Four years after the end of Roe, the abortion access movement has created a 'shadow' system that has kept abortion pills flowing into some of the most abortion-hostile parts of the country. The Massachusetts Medication Abortion Access Project (The MAP) has sent abortion pills to over 60,000 patients, 95% of whom live in states with severe restrictions or bans. The movement's resilience has been fueled by innovative thinking, including shield laws, telemedicine, and demedicalized models of care. Despite the challenges, The MAP's founder, Dr. Angel Foster, remains optimistic, stating, 'Even if mifepristone became banned, medication abortion is here to stay.'

    Mexican Rapper Soldis C4 Shot Dead in Guadalajara

    Soldis C4, a pioneering Mexican rapper from Guadalajara, was shot dead on July 31st while filming a music video in the Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood. The 30-year-old received multiple gunshot wounds, including two to the head and two to the back, and was pronounced dead at the scene. Eleven 9mm shell casings were found at the scene. The Jalisco State Attorney's Office has opened an investigation, and fans and colleagues paid tribute to Soldis C4 on social media. His wake was held at the San Ramón funeral home starting at 10:00 AM on August 1st. Soldis C4 had collaborated with prominent artists such as C-Kan and Crhas Lokote. His death follows other recent attacks on rappers in the Guadalajara metropolitan area.

    Thousands of Trucks Flout Merwedebrug Ban, Dutch Drivers Fined

    Despite a ban on heavy traffic due to structural weaknesses, thousands of trucks and tour buses continue to cross the Merwedebrug near Gorinchem.
