    Córdoba's Empleo +26 Program: Job Opportunities for 10,000 Unemployed

    The Government of Córdoba launched the Empleo +26 program to facilitate the insertion of 10,000 unemployed people into the labor market. The program offers 5,000 formal jobs in private companies and 5,000 spots for paid labor practices with training. Priority is given to those over 45 years old and residents in certain departments. The program is funded by the government contributing one or one and a half minimum salaries for each new hire.

    Decapitated Body Found on Simón Bolívar Avenue in Quito

    A decapitated and packaged body was found on Simón Bolívar Avenue in the north of Quito. The discovery occurred near an overpass at the entrance to Llano Chico, within the parish of Llano Grande. Police deployed agents from the Criminalistics unit to cordon off the site and begin investigation procedures. The body's head was found about 300 meters away on the avenue's sidewalk. The Metropolitan Transit Agency implemented a partial closure on the road to facilitate the procedure. So far, authorities have not reported the identity of the victim or the circumstances of the event.

    Chef Accused of Molesting Teenage Colleague

    A 21-year-old chef, Muhammad Fakhrullah Md Nor, was charged with sexually assaulting a 17-year-old female colleague at a fast food outlet in Tumpat. The accused faced five counts of sexual assault under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, carrying a maximum imprisonment of 20 years and whipping upon conviction. The incidents allegedly occurred between June 5 and July 17, with the accused and victim being colleagues at the same restaurant. The court allowed the accused to be released on bail of RM8,000 for each charge with conditions.
